Thank you for your interest in the CECES Volunteers Club (CVC). Your love for volunteerism is what makes successful programs and is why the CVC is possible. We don’t want to just welcome you to a club, but also to a family of volunteers. You will find that we are a diverse group of people from all over the world, with different backgrounds and unique skills but we all share one thing in common: a passion to shape lives one child at a time.

We would like to invite you to our first social, a BBQ dinner at The Glasshouse near North Point. Directions and details are below. This is just a friendly way to kick start our club following the Inaugural. We can answer any questions you may have about CVC, talk about our upcoming exciting programmes as well as have the chance to get to know everyone. So please join us in the fun! Bring family and friends! And bring your appetite!

Chairperson’s address for September:

On August 13^th 2010, in front of Honorable Justice Michael Hartmann and invited guests, 11 Office Bearers were sworn- in and the CECES Volunteers Club (CVC) was inaugurated. Daniel Chan, Ellen Chan, Pearl Webster, Joe Smith and Derek Wong all shared their heart warming speeches consisting of lively recounts of volunteer experiences and passionate stories.

Inspired and developed by CECES Director Sansan Ching, the CVC quickly came together bonded by a group of diverse and dedicated volunteers with a mission to serve the community. The inaugural was a culmination of all the hard work put in by the volunteers this summer. Some called it magic, but as Sansan explains it, “Magic is explainable… Magic happens when we give of ourselves and reach out to others.”

Since then we’ve already doubled our membership and have implemented countless new programmes. The CVC has worked passionately and endlessly for children. We provide volunteer opportunities to people from all around the world. Change can start here, but it can be shared anywhere.

Here is the current list of CECES Volunteers Club’s Office Bearers. Those holding a position are expected to fulfill their relevant duties for a minimum of 1 year. We are also searching for ‘shadow’ office bearers i.e. those who will carry out duties for the chairman, secretary when he/she is ill.
